Costa Rica: Hyvity becomes a strategic partner of ICE

After two years of work by our team in Costa Rica, we are very pleased to officially count ourselves among the strategic partners of ICE, the National Electricity Distribution Company!

Now, we can accelerate our development in the country and deploy all our expertise for the benefit of Costa Ricans, focusing on two key areas: the development and renovation of “run-of-the-river” hydroelectric infrastructure and the development of pumped-storage hydropower (PSH), a mature hydroelectric storage solution.

Costa Rica, a member of the OECD at the heart of the Central American interconnected network, is the only country in the world to have a 100% renewable energy mix. The development of hydropower to ensure the stability of the grid has long been a priority in the country, and we are proud to be able to contribute to this effort.
